Founder & Principal Scientist
Ramya has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor's in Materials Science from Columbia University and now focuses on bio-based materials & sustainable engineering solutions for full-scale manufacturing deployment. Over 8 years at Columbia University, Technical University of Delft in Netherlands, and at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, she worked on 15+ translational, academia-industry research projects with applications ranging from packaging to water quality and medical devices. Ramya is also supporting as a mentor with Third Derivative (D3) and Alchemist Accelerator since 2024.

Manu Sharma is a seasoned consultant with over 25 years of experience in acoustic design, audio-video integration, and sustainable soundscapes. He has advised leading institutions including IITs, Infosys, and the National Gallery of Modern Arts, and pioneered eco-friendly acoustic products from agricultural and paper waste. At Ramya.materials, he contributes expertise at the intersection of residue engineering for both passive & active methods to decarbonise industrial supply chains and operations with breakthrough innovations.

Accomplished research professional with over ten years of experience in chemical and material science research at international platforms (CSIR-NCL, ETH, UZH), and more than six years of editorial expertise in scientific communications within the fields of chemistry, medicine, health, and life sciences.
He has edited and reviewed hundreds of research articles, has contributed to designing research methodology, managing data, testing platforms, and improving quality to scale up projects. At Ramya Materials, he is working on bringing Circular Economy approaches to different sectors, bridging the gap between growth in manufacturing sectors with lab-scale technologies.
